Tottenham have named their starting lineup for their Carabao Cup third-round trip to Coventry City, with summer signing Bryan Gil handed his first start for the club.

The 20-year-old winger joined Spurs from Sevilla in the summer but has had to be patient for his chance to impress, with Son Heung-min, Lucas Moura and Steven Bergwijn all ahead of him in the pecking order.

However, with Son and Bergwijn both away on international duty, Gil has been given his opportunity and will be hoping to make the most of it.

There is also a start for another summer signing, Pierluigi Gollini, in goal, while Matt Doherty, Japhet Tanganga and Joe Rodon all come into the side.

Coventry have made five changes to the team that beat Northampton Town in the last round, with Ben Sheaf, Jake Clarke-Salter, Callum O'Hare, Matty Godden and Viktor Gyokeres all coming into the side.
