Tourists Flood to Take Picture of Mount Fuji Behind Lawson Store
Small Food Store has Incredible Mt Fuji Views
Tourists have flooded into Fujikawaguchiko to take one specific picture - a shot of Mount Fuji behind a Lawson convenience store. The small food store is a two-and-a-half-hour train ride south-west of Tokyo and has become an unlikely tourist hotspot thanks to its incredible views of the iconic mountain.
It is even known online as "Mount Fuji Lawson"
The store has become so popular that it is even known online as "Mount Fuji Lawson." Tourists from all over the world flock to the store to take pictures of the mountain, which perfectly frames the convenience store's sign. The store's manager, Mr. Iwama, said that he was surprised by the sudden influx of tourists.
"I never thought that our store would become so popular," he said. "But I'm glad that people are enjoying the view." Mr. Iwama said that he has even had to install a large black plastic sheet in front of the store to deter tourists from taking pictures. "It's a bit of a shame," he said. "But I understand that people want to take pictures of the mountain."
Despite the inconvenience, Mr. Iwama said that he is happy to share the view of Mount Fuji with the world.
"It's a beautiful mountain," he said. "And I'm glad that people can enjoy it from our store."
