A Historic Collaboration
Today in Frankfurt am Main, a groundbreaking joint venture was announced between the German Football Association (DFB) and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). This partnership marks a significant step in the preparations for the UEFA EURO 2024 tournament, which will be hosted by Germany. The EURO 2024 GmbH, a newly formed company, will be responsible for managing the organization and operations of the tournament. The company will be jointly owned by the DFB and UEFA, with the DFB holding a majority stake. "This joint venture is a testament to the strong partnership between the DFB and UEFA," said DFB President Bernd Neuendorf. "We are confident that this will be a successful tournament that will build on the legacy of past EUROs." UEFA President Aleksander ÄŒeferin added, "We are delighted to be working with the DFB on this important project. We believe that Germany will be an excellent host for the EURO 2024 and that this tournament will be a memorable event for fans and players alike." The EURO 2024 will be the 17th edition of the tournament, and it will be the first time that Germany has hosted the event since 1988. The tournament will be played in 10 cities across Germany from June 14 to July 14, 2024.
