Doug Liman's Everest Movie Casts Ewan McGregor, Sam Heughan, and Mark Strong

Back in 2021, we learned that Sam Heughan would be in a movie with an outstanding cast. Now, we know more about the project, which is titled Everest. The film is directed by Doug Liman and also stars Ewan McGregor, Mark Strong, and Juno Temple.

The film is based on the 2015 book of the same name by Jeffrey Archer. The book tells the story of a group of climbers who attempt to summit Mount Everest. The film will follow the climbers as they face the challenges of altitude, weather, and terrain.

McGregor will play Rob Hall, a New Zealand mountaineer who led the expedition. Heughan will play Guy Cotter, an English climber who was one of the first to summit Everest without supplemental oxygen. Strong will play Beck Weathers, an American climber who survived being left for dead on the mountain.

Everest is set to be released in 2023.
